Care for your garments

All of our products are made from natural merino wool, grown and processed in New Zealand.

Some items are wool mixed with New Zealand Brushtail Possum fur, mulberry silk, or cotton. Socks may contain nylon or lycra.

As with most wool clothing it is best to handwash. Always use an approved detergent for wool. Do not use bleach. Do not tumble dry.

Submerge your item in cool sudsy water, gently squeeze the suds through. Soak it for a few minutes, no more than thirty, then rinse until the water runs clear. Press out excess water then roll your item in a clean bath towel to remove as much of the water as possible. Do not wring or twist vigourously. Lay flat on a towel or mesh drying rack to dry, reshaping the item where necessary.

If you prefer to machine wash, place item into a fine mesh laundry bag, add the recommended amount of wool-approved detergent to the machine, use cool water and the delicate/wool cycle.

May be drycleaned.

When storing for summer clean and dry items completely before putting into a zippered cotton canvas storage case or bag in a dark place. Mothballs (naphthalene) will deter moths or you might try an essential oil sachet.
